Stephen and Glenda are recently retired and are now spending more time at home, they were looking for an efficient home heating solution that covered every room in their house. Their current heating was a single room heat pump and a gas fire, both located in the living areas. The existing heat pump was almost 20 years old and due for replacement and the gas fire was chewing through the gas at an alarming rate!

Dan & Tracey - Rolleston
We decided to make the most of our bank's 'Green loan' offer and get ducted heating installed in our (8 year old) home we purchased a year ago. The current high-wall heat pump didn't effectively air-condition our home due to the size/layout. I approached three Christchurch companies about this, providing them plans of our home's layout & details such as stud height.
Nik from Simply Heat came back to us with a design and estimate the following business day, and it incorporated everything we were after. The design was well laid-out and easy to follow. We could understand what they were recommending and why. They also followed up with a site visit once we confirmed we were keen to proceed to ensure that what they'd proposed would fit.
We ended up choosing a Daiken unit that was more compact due to our limited roof space. As a bonus, their quote automatically included 'MyAir', a system allowing us 8 separate zones, all controllable by an app on our phones, and we could even load 'programs' for heating separate areas at different times of the day.
They were also very well priced, being 20% lower-priced than the next professional competitor, and their recommendations and set-up was superior to the competitor as well (wifi was extra on the other quote). The 3rd quote we're STILL waiting for after the consultant visited for site measure!
We dealt with Mick to arrange the install. He was efficient and approachable, happy to answer questions for us. He was very responsive as well, replying to emails generally within a business day or faster. The install team was polite and professional. They took the time to explain how to use the unit (it's easy to use!) and demonstrate the different features.
We needed a couple of tweaks after the install to get it running perfectly, and they came out promptly to check and diagnose to make sure that the heating was running correctly and efficiently. I am happy to say that it works perfectly!
Nearly four months in, we are so pleased we invested in ducted heating for our home, and doubly pleased that we chose Simply Heat to work with. It is an investment in your own comfort (and the MyAir is a MUST have in my opinion!) and well worth the money spent.
If your bank offers 'Green' loans, it's even more value. I'd absolutely recommend contacting Simply Heat for your heating needs, they were easy to deal with and everyone we dealt with was polite, knowledgeable and efficient.
